The Undiscored Costa Brava, Spain Vacation
Belying its old package-tour image, the far north of the Spanish Mediterranean coast is actualy the least developed and most spectacular of the holiday costas. Stretching 70 nautical miles from the French border down to Blanes, the almost-forgotten Costa Brava has something for everything for cruiser boats, with a mouthwatering menu for dramatic rocky inlets and lazy beaches, snug marinas and sceduled coves, sleepy fishing villages and lively towns that keep going until late, 'Brava' in Spanish means wild or rugged, and some of the soaring cliffs look awesome from seaward. Not far inland are foothills of the eastern Pyrenees.
